This is where standard astrology often fails. It gives you vague answers like “It’s a spiritual period.” Jaimini is different. Jaimini is sharp. It says: “You will get married in the 3rd year of this Dasha.”

But to get that level of accuracy, you need to stop thinking like a mathematician and start thinking like a Director. You need to learn how to move the camera.

If you remember only one thing from this entire series, let it be this: The Ascendant is not fixed.

In standard astrology (Parasara), if you are born a Libra Ascendant, you are a Libra until you die. Your 10th house is always Cancer. Your 7th house is always Aries.

Jaimini Sage says: “No. You evolve.”

Life is a journey through different rooms. When you enter a new Chara Dasha period—let’s say, the period of Gemini—you physically step into the “Gemini Room” of your life.

For those specific years, Gemini becomes your Ascendant (Lagna).

We call this the Dasha Lagna. To predict correctly, you must mentally rotate your birth chart so that Gemini is at the top (House #1).

Why this changes everything

Let me give you a powerful example.

Imagine a person with Saturn in Aries. In standard astrology, Saturn in Aries is “Debilitated” (Weak). If this is in the 12th house of the birth chart, we say: “Oh, weak Saturn in the house of loss. Bad for discipline.”

BUT… let’s say this person starts the Cancer Chara Dasha. Rotate the chart. Cancer becomes House #1. Where is that “weak” Saturn now? Count from Cancer to Aries: Cancer(1), Leo(2), Virgo(3), Libra(4), Scorpio(5), Sagittarius(6), Capricorn(7), Aquarius(8), Pisces(9), Aries(10).

Suddenly, that Saturn is in the 10th House from the Dasha Lagna. In Jaimini, a planet in the 10th house—even a debilitated one—causes a massive rise in career through hard work. So, during the Cancer period, this person doesn’t suffer loss. They become a workaholic CEO.

The Golden Rule: Always judge the planets based on where they sit relative to the current Dasha Sign.

Jaimini Chara Dasha Prediction: The “Eyes” of the Signs (Aspects)

Now that you have rotated the chart, you need to know who is talking to whom.

In standard astrology, planets have “Drishti” (glances). Mars looks at the 4th, 7th, and 8th. It’s complicated to memorize. In Jaimini, it is beautifully simple. Signs look at Signs.

(And remember: If a Sign looks at another Sign, it also sees the Planets inside it).

1. Movable Signs (Chara Rashi)

The Signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
The Logic: Movable signs are active. They look at Fixed Signs.
The Exception: They never look at the neighbor right next to them.
The Rule: Aries looks at Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. (It ignores Taurus).

2. Fixed Signs (Sthira Rashi)

The Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
The Logic: Fixed signs are stable. They look at Movable Signs.

3. Dual Signs (Dwiswabhava Rashi)

The Signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.
The Logic: This is the easiest one. Dual signs look at Each Other.
The Rule: Gemini looks at Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Teacher’s Tip: If you are running a Dual Sign Dasha (like Sagittarius), life gets very busy. Why? Because Sagittarius looks at three other signs. That means 4 houses of your chart are talking to each other at once. Dual sign periods are usually full of multitasking.

Jaimini Chara Dasha Prediction: Career & Success

Okay, enough theory. You want to know: “When will I get the job?”

For this, we look at your Amatyakaraka (AmK). (Recall from Part 1: This is the planet with the 2nd highest degree in your chart).

Let’s say your AmK is Mars.

The 3 Green Flags for Promotion in Jaimini Chara Dasha Prediction

If any of these three things happen, expect a career jump:

1. The Direct Hit (AmK in the Dasha) If you enter the Dasha of the sign where Mars is sitting.

Example: Mars (AmK) is in Capricorn. You enter the Capricorn Dasha.
Result: This is the most powerful time. You are living in the “House of Career.” You will likely take on a leadership role.

2. The Aspect Hit (Jaimini Drishti) If you enter a Dasha that Aspects Mars.

Example: Mars (AmK) is in Capricorn (Movable).
You enter: The Leo Dasha (Fixed).
Check: Does Leo look at Capricorn? Yes. (Fixed looks at Movable).
Result: Leo “wakes up” your Mars. You get energized, recognized, and promoted.

3. The “Throne Yoga” (10th/11th House) Rotate the chart. If your AmK falls in the 10th House or 11th House from the current Dasha.

Example: You run the Aries Dasha.
AmK: Mars is in Capricorn.
Count: Capricorn is the 10th House from Aries.
Result: AmK in the 10th is called “Simhasana Yoga” (Throne Yoga). It gives you authority.

Jaimini Chara Dasha Prediction:When to be careful

I have to be honest with you. Not every period is good. If your AmK falls in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house from the Dasha Lagna, you will struggle.

AmK in 6th: You have to fight for your position. Rivals appear.
AmK in 8th: Sudden changes. You might get transferred or laid off, or you might quit suddenly out of frustration.
AmK in 12th: You feel invisible. Good for working behind the scenes or overseas, but bad for fame.

Jaimini Chara Dasha Prediction: Marriage & Love

This is the most requested topic. Jaimini is famous for timing marriage accurately.

For this, we track the Darakaraka (DK). (Recall from Part 1: The planet with the lowest degree).

Let’s say your DK is Venus.

1. The Dasha of Connection Just like career, if you run the Dasha of the sign holding the DK, or a sign that aspects the DK, love becomes the focus.

Real Life Hint: Look for the Antardasha (Sub-period).
Example: You are running the 10-year Libra period. Your DK is in Aquarius.
Prediction: Libra aspects Aquarius. So the whole 10 years is good for love. But specifically, when you hit the Libra-Aquarius sub-period? That’s the wedding date.

2. The “PK + DK” Love Yoga This is a secret I use often. Look at your Putrakaraka (PK) (Creativity/Romance) and your Darakaraka (DK) (Spouse). If the current Dasha sign brings these two planets together (either they are sitting together, or the Dasha sign aspects both of them), it is a classic “Love Marriage” combination.

3. The 7th House Alignment Rotate the chart. If the DK falls in the 7th House from the Dasha Lagna, you are looking directly at partnership.

4. The Upapada Lagna (Advanced Tip) I’m adding this for those who want to be pros. The Upapada Lagna (UL) is the “Arudha” of the 12th house. (Most software calculates this for you). The UL is the physical manifestation of marriage.

Rule: If the Dasha Sign aspects the UL, marriage is highly likely.
Rule: If the Dasha Sign is the 2nd or 7th from the UL, marriage happens.

Jaimini Chara Dasha Prediction: The Secret “Jaimini Raj Yogas”

Before we finish, I want to teach you how to spot a Greatness Period.

In Jaimini, special things happen when the Soul (AK), the Career (AmK), and the Intelligence (PK) hold hands.

The “Jaimini Raj Yoga” Rule: If the Atmakaraka (AK) and the Putrakaraka (PK) are connected (Conjunction or Aspect) in your birth chart… AND your current Dasha activates them… You become unstoppable.

Why? AK is the Soul. PK is the Intelligence/Future. When Soul and Intelligence align, you perform at your highest potential.
Check your chart: Do you have AK and PK (or AK and AmK) looking at each other?

Let’s apply everything we learned to a real person. Let’s call him Raj.

Raj’s Data:

Ascendant: Taurus.
Atmakaraka (AK): Saturn (in Libra).
Amatyakaraka (AmK): Mercury (in Capricorn).
Darakaraka (DK): Moon (in Cancer).

The Situation: Raj struggled in his 20s. He had low-paying jobs and no relationships. He was running his Sagittarius Dasha (Dual Sign).

Analysis of the Struggle (Sagittarius Period):

Does Sagittarius look at his Career Planet (Mercury in Capricorn)? No. (Dual looks at Dual. Capricorn is Movable).

Q: Can I predict wealth with Chara Dasha? A: Yes. Look at the 2nd House and 11th House from the Dasha Lagna. If benefics (Jupiter, Venus, Moon) are in the 2nd or 11th from the current Dasha sign, money flows easily. If malefics (Rahu, Saturn) are there, expenses will be high, or you will have to work very hard for money. Also, check the Indu Lagna (Wealth Point) – if the Dasha sign aspects it, wealth comes.

Q: What happens if the Dasha sign is empty? A: This is a common fear. “Oh no, my Aries Dasha is empty!” Don’t worry. An empty house still has an owner.

Look at the Lord of the sign (e.g., Mars for Aries). Where is Mars sitting? If Mars is in the 10th from Aries, it’s still a great career period.
Look at the Aspects. Are Jupiter or Venus looking at that empty Aries sign? If yes, they fill the room with light.

Q: Why does Vimshottari say one thing and Jaimini say another? A: This is the beauty of astrology. Vimshottari shows the Mind/Karma. Jaimini shows the Physical Event.

Scenario: Vimshottari says “Marriage” (Venus period). Jaimini says “No Marriage” (DK in 6th house).
Result: You might fall in love (Mind/Venus), but the wedding won’t happen (Physical/Jaimini) due to obstacles.
Pro Tip: When BOTH systems say “Yes,” the event is 100% guaranteed.

Q: How do I calculate Sub-Periods (Antardashas)? A: It is the same logic as the main Dasha. If you are in Aries Mahadasha, the first sub-period is Aries. Then, calculate the next sub-period based on the Order of Aries (Aries is Team Forward). So: Aries-Aries, then Aries-Taurus, then Aries-Gemini. Each sub-period usually lasts months, not years.
